ABOUT US
ROAM (Rivers, Oceans and Mountains) is a youth-led adventure crew for youth ages 14 through 18 in the greater Seattle area. We plan, train for and take trips around the Pacific Northwest. No previous experience is necessary; we provide various levels of difficulty and opportunities for youth to build up their skills. Two or three youth members, known as "shakers", plan and lead each trip. This includes meal planning, food shopping, budgeting, gear management, transportation planning, securing permits and heading out for adventure.
We are supported by volunteer adults, known as "movers", who accompany us on trips and act as technical discipline experts. We have an adult-led safety committee that reviews each planned trip.

We are a Scouting America Venturing Crew (Crew 013). Because of this, we follow Scouting America’s extensive Youth Protection Training and guidelines. All of our adult members complete mandatory training and background checks.
